The emergency services in the capital, Hovedstadens Beredskab (Capital City Emergency Services), had to once again respond to the historic Børsen building in Copenhagen, where embers from a previous fire in the early hours of Tuesday reignited. Operations manager Kristian Levy confirmed to Ritzau that the emergency services have had to have a permanent presence on site since 01:00 to handle the situation. “We have had several small embers that have flared up,” explained Kristian Levy. These embers occurred in a wooden beam that is still connected to parts of the building that were not damaged by the fire. The emergency services’ efforts are focused on preserving this part of the building. Børsen, one of Copenhagen’s most iconic buildings, holds significant historical and architectural value, making the response extremely important. The presence of the fire department and their quick reaction is crucial to prevent further damage to the building. Hovedstadens Beredskab will continue to monitor the situation closely and is ready to intervene if any more issues arise. So far, there have been no reports of any injuries related to the reigniting embers.
