LEGO announces board changes, Eva Berneke steps down after 13 years

In a recent development, the Danish toy manufacturer LEGO has announced changes to their board of directors, with Eva Berneke stepping down after 13 years. LEGO has issued a press release in which the chairman of the board, Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, expresses great gratitude for Eva’s contribution to the company. “Eva has played a central role in a period of significant growth and development for LEGO, and we are deeply grateful for her efforts and dedication over the years,” says Thomas Kirk Kristiansen. He adds that the entire organization wishes her the best for the future. Eva Berneke, who also sits on the board of the wind turbine company Vestas, has not disclosed her future plans after leaving LEGO.

At the same time, LEGO welcomes two new board members. Ebi Atawodi from Holland, who has a prominent role at Google and YouTube, and Ilkka Paananen from Finland, who is the CEO of the gaming company Supercell, join the board. These new additions to the board signal a continued strategic focus on innovation and global growth. However, LEGO has not specified the exact reasons for Eva Berneke’s departure from the board. With these changes, LEGO looks forward to further development and strengthening of the company’s position in the global market.
