Roskilde Festival has just announced the addition of 15 new music acts and seven new participants to their Art & Activism program. The festival, taking place from June 29 to July 6, offers a wide range of artists and activists, all contributing to the festival’s diverse culture and social engagement. Among the new music acts is the American rapper Action Bronson, who previously performed at the festival in 2016. Known for his album “Mr. Wonderful” and his food show “Fuck, That’s Delicious,” Bronson brings a unique blend of food culture and music to the festival stage. He has collaborated with artists such as Chance the Rapper, Mac Miller, and A$AP Rocky.
On the electronic front, Roskilde Festival introduces the English singer Shygirl, who will bring her “Club Shy” to the festival audience, promising an experience that fuses music with visual art in an electronic club atmosphere. The festival also welcomes the South African producer Musa Keys and the heavy metal-inspired rapper Scarlxrd.
The Art & Activism program is also expanding with interesting additions, including “Solidarity With Palestine,” which focuses on the conflict in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The program celebrates Palestinian culture and aims to raise awareness about the challenges in the region.
Roskilde Festival’s program director, Anders Wehrén, emphasizes the festival’s commitment to social and cultural issues: “Roskilde Festival is created to make a difference for others, even far from the experiences, art, and concerts of the festival grounds. It is important for us to provide space for new talents and a voice for those who can contribute to creating change.”
The festival continues to be a platform for both established stars and new talents, with artists like SZA, Doja Cat, Foo Fighters, and Medina already announced on the lineup. With the new additions, Roskilde Festival is ready for another year of musical experiences and activist contributions, creating a unique festival experience for all participants.
