A tragic case has reached its conclusion in the Eastern High Court, where a 41-year-old man has been sentenced to six years in prison for violence resulting in death towards his infant daughter. According to TV 2, the court found it proven that the man had also committed severe violence against the daughter’s twin sister. In the same case, the twins’ mother has been sentenced to six months in prison for passive participation in the violence. Four months of her sentence are suspended. This marks a significant change compared to the earlier decision by the district court, where both parents were acquitted. The case has attracted great attention and sparked debate about the penalties for domestic violence, especially when it comes to cases involving young children. This is a case that will undoubtedly be remembered and discussed for a long time to come.
