Danish Olive Oil Recalled for High Pesticide Levels

A number of bottles of the brand GAEA Classic Authentic Greek extra virgin olive oil are now being recalled by Haugen Group, after it was discovered that the oil contains high levels of pesticide residues. The recall specifically includes 500 milliliter bottles with a “best before” date of 08.07.2025 and batch number L4008. Haugen Group urges consumers to either discard the product or return it to the place of purchase for a refund. The olive oil has been sold in several major Danish supermarket chains, including Bilka, Føtex, Meny, LetKøb, and MinKøbmand.

Consumer safety is a top priority for Haugen Group, which regrets any inconvenience the recall may cause. The company is working closely with suppliers and authorities to ensure that all their products meet the strict requirements and standards for food safety. For further information and guidance regarding the recall, consumers can contact Haugen Group’s customer service.
