In an age of almost 60 years, Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen reflects on his political career in a new audiobook titled “The Cost of Liberation”. The book, which is a continuation of his previous works, will be released on Wednesday and is created in collaboration with the author Kirsten Jacobsen. Lars Løkke Rasmussen, who is now the leader of the party Moderates (Moderaterne), has had an eventful political career with both ups and downs. He has previously been the Prime Minister of Denmark and is known for his work in trying to create a broad political center. In 2022, he managed to form a government with the Social Democrats and the Liberal Party (Venstre), which was a significant shift in Danish politics.
The audiobook “The Cost of Liberation” is a so-called podbook, where Løkke tells his story to Kirsten Jacobsen. It lasts 181 minutes and can be streamed or purchased digitally. In the audiobook, Løkke shares his thoughts and experiences from his time at the top of Danish politics, including his personal and political challenges, as well as the compromises and victories that have shaped his career.
