Denmark can look forward to a week of plenty of sunshine and pleasant temperatures, according to the latest weather forecast from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). On-duty meteorologist Trine Pedersen predicts that the entire week will offer clear weather with daily temperatures ranging between 16 and 21 degrees Celsius. “It’s going to be really nice weather. There will be sunshine all week, and there will be a light to fresh wind from the east and southeast,” says Trine Pedersen. She adds that the weather will be consistent throughout the week, with the warmest temperatures expected along the west-facing coasts, while the east-facing coasts may experience slightly cooler weather due to onshore winds. Nights will be cooler with temperatures dropping between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius, but it is expected to remain dry and clear. “During the week, there is no need to look towards the sky for precipitation – it appears to stay dry until the weekend,” explains the meteorologist.
The sunny weather is due to a positioning between a low-pressure system over the British Isles and a high-pressure system that was previously over Denmark but has now moved towards the Baltic States and the westernmost part of Russia. “This means that the wind is calming down, so we get this dry wind. It results in nice weather,” says Trine Pedersen. Although some clouds may begin to move in from the south on Friday, it still appears to remain dry. However, there is some uncertainty about whether the sunny weather will continue into the weekend, as the low-pressure system from the British Isles may start to affect the weather in Denmark. “At the moment, it doesn’t seem to hold into the weekend. But it’s a bit early to say exactly when we will get it,” Trine Pedersen concludes.
