A special children’s enamel mug decorated with Pippi Longstocking has been recalled by the manufacturers Dsignhouse ApS and GADE & CO. EFTF. due to a high lead content, as pointed out by the Danish Food Agency in a recent press release. Lead is known to affect the nervous system, and in children, it can have serious consequences for their learning ability and intelligence. The Danish Food Agency has stated that “There may be a risk to children using this children’s enamel mug, therefore the product should not be used.” The mug has been sold in various stores nationwide, including Super Brugsen Løkken, Kop & Kande stores in Hvide Sande, Silkeborg, and Roskilde, as well as in Den Grønne Genbrugshal and at Vilh. Consumers who have purchased this product are advised to either dispose of the mug or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund or replacement product. If a child has shown symptoms related to the use of the mug, it is recommended to contact a doctor.
