Conflict arises in Charlottenlund over election posters for European Parliament

In Charlottenlund, a conflict has broken out between Circus Baldoni and the conservative candidate Marcus Knuth in connection with the hanging of posters for the upcoming European Parliament election. The conflict arose when one of Marcus Knuth’s posters was inadvertently placed in a way that pushed Circus Baldoni’s poster upwards on the lamppost on Ordrupvej. Circus Baldoni has expressed their frustration over the incident on their Facebook page, questioning why their poster had to be pushed up when there are many other lampposts that Knuth could have used. They also point out a practical problem with taking the poster down again in accordance with the Danish Working Environment Authority’s safety regulations, which require that work above two meters in height must be done with a safety line.

Marcus Knuth has responded to the situation by thanking for the attention to the mistake and has promised that it will be corrected. He expresses regret over the situation and assures that it was not his intention to cause problems for the circus. This episode has also drawn attention to other political candidates’ posters, which have also caused problems for Circus Baldoni.

The campaign for the European Parliament election, which takes place on June 9, has started with some tension in Charlottenlund, where poster placement has now become a debated topic. Posters were officially allowed to be hung up from Saturday, May 18, marking the beginning of an intense period of political campaigning leading up to the election.
