Crown Prince Christian was lowered from a height of 12 meters in Brønderslev before heading to the starting line to kick off the Royal Run in the northern city. After the descent, the crown prince ran an English mile, which is approximately 1.6 kilometers. This is the first time he has participated alone in one of the host cities of the Royal Run. This year’s Royal Run is taking place in the following cities: Fredericia, Brønderslev, Aarhus, Kalundborg, and Copenhagen/Frederiksberg.
During the event, King Frederik runs an English mile in Fredericia, five kilometers in Aarhus, and ten kilometers in Copenhagen. Queen Mary participates by running five kilometers in Kalundborg. After King Frederik’s run in Fredericia, he was asked who runs faster – himself or Crown Prince Christian. According to TV 2, the king replied that he believed his youngest son, 13-year-old Prince Vincent, was the fastest.
