All of us move through life, says Jørn Dohrmann, who has switched from the Danish People’s Party (DF) to Lars Løkke’s party. Former Member of Parliament Jørn Dohrmann is running for the municipal election next year for the party Moderates. This was reported by DR and JydskeVestkysten. He is aiming for a seat on the city council in Kolding Municipality. The 55-year-old Dohrmann was previously a member of the Danish People’s Party, but is now running for the party Moderates. “I believe that we all move through life, and I have to acknowledge that I have also moved. And all in all, I have come to the conclusion that it is a nice place,” he told DR. Dohrmann has served in the Danish Parliament, city council, and the European Parliament from 2001 to 2019. During the 13 years he was in the Danish Parliament, he was the environmental spokesperson for the Danish People’s Party. Dohrmann, who is a trained car mechanic, was fined 15,000 Danish kroner in 2020 after an incident with a photographer. The photographer was present at the politician’s property near Vamdrup to take photos for a TV documentary. Dohrmann grabbed the camera from the photographer, damaging it. When the case was heard in Kolding Court, the politician pleaded not guilty.
