The Queen mounted the final of a total of 7300 pieces in a large painting. It is a so-called pixel painting, inspired by Lundbye’s Golden Age painting, Mound at Refsnæs. The artwork was created in collaboration with a local kindergarten and after-school care. The Queen arrived around 4:30 p.m. wearing the blue Royal Run running shirt and sunglasses. Shortly before, she had posted on Instagram that she was looking forward to running in Kalundborg. However, the family’s two dogs were disappointed that they were not allowed to join, it was said. The entire royal family participated in the running activity on Monday. King Frederik began the day by running the One Mile stretch of 1.6 kilometers in Fredericia and later ran five kilometers in Aarhus. Crown Prince Christian ran 1.6 kilometers in Brønderslev, after being lowered from a tower at a height of 12 meters shortly before. The King is currently on his way to the last event of the day – a ten-kilometer run in Copenhagen.
