Tivoli reveals 11 new artists who will perform at Fredagsrock on the Plænen (Lawn). The Norwegian pop twins Marcus and Martinus, who participated in this year’s Eurovision for the neighboring country Sweden, are coming to Denmark. This is announced by Tivoli in a press release, where an additional ten new concerts over the summer will be announced. The 11 artists will all perform at concerts in connection with Tivoli’s Fredagsrock, where big artists like Take That and Diana Ross take the stage on the Plænen at 10 pm on a summer Friday. In addition to the Eurovision stars, Eee Gee, Rasmus Seebach, Ankerstjerne, Kind mod Kind, and Lord Siva are among the artists performing at 7 pm on various Fridays in connection with Fredagsrock.
With the expanded program, guests visiting the garden will enjoy a larger part of the garden and more of the Friday evening, according to the cultural director at Tivoli, Frederik Wiedemann. “In recent summers, we have seen that many concert guests come earlier on Fridays during Havefest to enjoy the festival atmosphere with a great comedy program, concerts at 7 pm, and DJs, before the big Fredagsrock concerts start at 10 pm,” he says in the announcement.
Take That, one of the big names on the program for Tivoli’s Fredagsrock, has chosen the artist who will warm up for them on June 28th. Here, guests will get to know Alfie Castley, who is particularly known on the social media platform TikTok. This will be Alfie Castley’s debut at Tivoli. Songs like “Teenage Mona Lisa” and “Heaven’s Got a Place (Someone New)” have made him a big name on TikTok. In addition, the singer JJ Paulo, known for his song “My Bebe,” will perform on the stage on June 14th, before Hans Philip’s Fredagsrock concert starts at 10 pm.
Dopha, who will perform before Tim Christensen on August 30th, promises surprises during her time on stage. “Songs from my debut album and EP will be played. And of course, I will also bring a few secrets,” she says in the press release.
