Friday starts with clouds, but the weather will clear up during the day, according to a meteorologist from the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI). Participants at the Jelling Music Festival, which kicked off on Thursday, have something to look forward to when Nik & Jay take the stage on Friday evening – as it looks like it will be a warm weekend. There are good prospects for sunshine, says Klaus Larsen, the on-duty meteorologist at DMI. “The weather will start a bit slow in Jutland, but there will either be some sun or a lot of sun for everyone,” he says. The temperature is expected to rise to over 20 degrees in many parts of the country after a rainy area, especially over the northern part of the country, has moved away. “The sun will make the clouds disappear during the morning,” adds Klaus Larsen.
The weather is expected to continue on Saturday, although there may be a shower or two. “Saturday will be warmer with up to 24 degrees,” says Klaus Larsen. It may be a bit cooler by the coasts due to onshore winds, with temperatures around 15 degrees in certain places. Saturday evening will be dry with plenty of sunshine, and the clear weather is expected to continue overnight, with temperatures ranging between 11 and 15 degrees. However, the good weather conditions are only temporary, as Sunday starts with scattered showers, which may also bring thunder. “Sunday will be a bit more unstable. It starts with some sun, but later it will become more cloudy with scattered showers,” says Klaus Larsen. The temperature is expected to reach between 18 and 23 degrees, and Sunday evening will be mostly dry. The trend of clouds, rain, showers, and thunder is expected to continue into next week, which will likely please both farmers and garden owners after a relatively dry period.
