The five host cities for Royal Run with King Frederik in the lead received significantly more visitors during the event than usual. Nearly a quarter of a million people – precisely 236,515 – were gathered in Royal Run’s five host cities on Monday during the event’s most visited hour. This was reported by the telecommunications company 3 Denmark in a press release. The number is based on anonymized mobility data from transmitter positions near the race areas in Aarhus, Brønderslev, Fredericia, Copenhagen, and Frederiksberg, as well as Kalundborg. It is 58.2 percent more people than in the most visited hour in the same areas on Easter Monday, which was also a public holiday and a Monday, just like the day of Royal Run. The host city of Fredericia particularly benefited from the royal run through the streets. There were 21,778 people registered at the race area during the most visited hour of Royal Run. This is a 190 percent increase compared to Easter Monday.
