Danish Real Estate Company Takes Drastic Measures After Exposé

The property company 1927 Estate has taken drastic measures following revelations in a new TV 2 documentary. The documentary, ‘The Black Swan’, presented on Tuesday, uncovers a criminal collaboration between gangs and lawyers involved in money laundering and fraud. As a consequence of the revelations, the property company from Aarhus has chosen to both suspend and report to the police one of their property developers and partners. The documentary revealed that the property developer was involved in a project in Vallensbæk Strand, where a highly polluted site was at stake. According to the documentary, 10,000 tons of the contaminated soil were moved to agricultural land, allegedly after an agreement with the farmer who received a secret payment. The suspended partner has denied the accusations according to TV 2, explaining that his statements in the documentary are not correct. He claims that he was only trying to impress one of the undercover reporters in the documentary and meant his statements as an exaggeration. The financial media Finans has also reported that the business registry shows the suspended partner has resigned from the management of eight companies associated with 1927 Estate. This case is developing rapidly, and it will be interesting to follow the further consequences for both the property company and the partner in question.
