In a recent Instagram update, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) expressed her strong condemnation of the content in the TV 2 documentary ‘The Black Swan’. The documentary, which was released on Tuesday, depicts a profound indifference and disrespect towards the Danish legal system, something Frederiksen refers to as “a completely unacceptable moral shift.” The documentary series reveals through hidden recordings, contributed by a mole in the criminal environment, serious crimes such as money laundering and fraud involving the disposal of contaminated soil. The recordings also show connections between the criminal environment and various business people and lawyers, which has shocked many viewers.
Frederiksen emphasizes in her post that she strongly distances herself from what has been revealed in the documentary. She also announced that a new gang package, Gang Package 4, is on the way. According to the Prime Minister, this package will further intensify efforts against the gangs. The Minister of Justice will also investigate whether more can be done to combat the conditions brought to light by the documentary. When asked by TV 2 on Tuesday about her reaction to the documentary, the Prime Minister had not yet had the opportunity to see it. Nevertheless, she described the revelations that had already emerged in the public as “very, very serious.”
