Denmark can look forward to a cooler and rainier week after the weekend’s warm and sunny weather. According to Klaus Larsen, on-duty meteorologist at the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), this week will be characterized by lower temperatures, rain, and wind. Monday and Tuesday will be slightly cooler than the weekend, with temperatures ranging between 16 and 21 degrees depending on the region. Monday’s weather will be mixed with sun and clouds. Northern Jutland can expect the most sun later in the day, while the southeastern areas will see sun earlier in the day. Similar weather is expected on Tuesday, but there may be some isolated showers. Klaus Larsen notes that it’s time to say goodbye to the summery weather we have enjoyed recently.
On Wednesday, a significant cold front will arrive with rain, and up to six millimeters of rain may fall. The temperature will drop further in the middle of the week, with daytime temperatures between 13 and 16 degrees and light to fresh wind, locally reaching near gale force. Thursday and Friday will also be cool and windy, with temperatures around 15-16 degrees. However, the sun may peek out sporadically during the days. Nights will be significantly colder, with temperatures dropping to around six degrees. It seems that Danes will need to dig out their warm sweaters and rain jackets in the coming week.
