There has been a change of leadership in The Foreign Policy Society, where Ulrik Federspiel, after many years as chairman, has chosen to step down. Federspiel has been a member of the board for a total of seven years, five of which as chairman. He states that he now calmly hands over the baton to the newly elected board. The former CEO of PensionDanmark, Torben Möger Pedersen, has been chosen as the new chairman at the society’s recent annual general meeting on May 31. Torben Möger Pedersen is also the chairman of the board for Copenhagen Business School and the CIP Foundation, and until recently held the same position at the Danish Export and Investment Fund. The Foreign Policy Society, founded in 1946, aims to promote awareness of and increase interest in foreign policy issues in Denmark. Ulrik Federspiel expresses his gratitude for the great support he and the society have received from members, advisory committees, the board, as well as the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and sponsors. He will henceforth hold the title of chairman emeritus in The Foreign Policy Society.
