A historic Eurojackpot win of over 760 million Danish kroner has been drawn in Denmark. This is only the second time in history that a Dane has won the maximum Eurojackpot prize, exceeding 750 million kroner. Danske Spil (Danish National Lottery) has confirmed this impressive news in a press release. With a winning amount of 760,818,030 kroner, Tuesday’s Eurojackpot draw is the largest win in Denmark’s history. The lucky winner is the ninth Dane to win over 100 million kroner in Eurojackpot. The first time the prize was won in Denmark was in the summer of 2022, where a ticket from Blåvand won a whopping 759,318,630 kroner. Danske Spil has not yet revealed where in the country the new winner is located.
Malene Mølgaard, CEO of Danske Lotteri Spil (Danish Lottery Games), expresses great excitement over the extraordinary win: “A big congratulations and we look forward to speaking with the winner. It’s a huge celebration day here for us, just as I assume it is for the winner,” says Mølgaard, adding: “It’s amazing that a Dane has won over 750 million kroner for the second time, and that once again here in Denmark we have claimed the big prize.” Eurojackpot is a European lottery that has been around since 2012 and involves participants from 17 countries, including Denmark. Draws take place every Tuesday and Friday, and the prizes can reach astronomical amounts, as the latest Danish example clearly shows.
