Benny Engelbrecht cancels participation in the People’s Meeting in protest against demonstrators. Benny Engelbrecht, who is the finance spokesperson for the Social Democrats, has chosen to cancel his participation in this year’s People’s Meeting on Bornholm, Denmark. Engelbrecht was scheduled to participate in several debates during the event but has decided to stay away. According to Berlingske, the decision is due to the fact that the People’s Meeting previously encouraged considering inviting demonstrators on stage if they interrupted events and debates. Although the People’s Meeting has since clarified that individuals who deliberately disrupt debates are not welcome, Engelbrecht has chosen to withdraw in protest.
