Record-breaking 760 Million Kroner Lottery Win in Denmark’s Capital

The winner of Denmark’s largest lottery prize ever has been found. A lucky person in Copenhagen can now call themselves Denmark’s biggest lottery winner ever after winning a record-breaking prize of 760 million Danish kroner. The lucky ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven store in Østerbro and was revealed as the winner on Tuesday evening. Danske Spil (The Danish Gaming Authority) confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that they had identified the winner of the huge prize. The winner, whose identity has not been disclosed, expressed overwhelming joy in a press release from Danske Spil: “This is huge, absolutely enormous. Imagine that it’s me, holding the exact winning numbers, and that I am incredibly fortunate to have won Denmark’s largest prize of three-quarters of a billion Danish kroner.”

This Eurojackpot prize of 760 million Danish kroner is the largest ever in Denmark. The previous record was set with a prize of 759 million Danish kroner, won by a person who had purchased their ticket at Meny in Blåvand. Danske Spil has not disclosed further details about the winner, but it is clear that this historic win will change the life of the lucky Dane.
