Danish literary website Litteratursiden.dk to stop new content publication

**Litteratursiden.dk stops new content: Changes take effect from July 1st**

From July 1st, there will no longer be published any new content on Litteratursiden.dk, a digital offering from the country’s libraries. This was announced by The Digital Public Library in a press release. Even though no new material will be released, users can still access all existing content on the website. Litteratursiden.dk has offered a wealth of resources since 2002, including inspiration, background information, and knowledge about both new and older fiction as well as non-fiction literature. The site also includes author profiles, book reviews, and analysis. The discontinuation of new content is part of a larger development within The Digital Public Library, which plans to launch new digital offerings by the end of 2025. The purpose is to gather the digital resources, bringing them closer to citizens and optimizing library resources. The Digital Public Library consists of public libraries in all municipalities in the country as well as in Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Southern Schleswig. Litteratursiden.dk was originally opened by the former Minister of Culture Brian Mikkelsen (C) and has received operational support from the Slots- and Kulturstyrelsen until the end of 2023. From January 1st, 2024, the site became part of The Digital Public Library.
