The facility, HabitusHuset Ny Mårumvej in Græsted, is closing according to director Martin Godske, who has spoken to TV 2 Cosmopol. The decision to close has been made after a series of serious incidents, including the death of a 30-year-old female resident on June 1st. The woman had suffered extensive burns about a month earlier, which later led to kidney failure and the need for an artificial coma. According to TV 2 Cosmopol, the decision comes from the board of Habitus. Martin Godske tells the media that the decision was made because the institution can no longer provide the necessary quality that both legislation and residents demand. Staff, residents, and relatives were informed of the closure on Friday morning, the media reports. Martin Godske has expressed his deep concern over the incident to TV 2 Cosmopol and emphasized that such situations should not occur.
