Liberal Alliance proposes EU countries donate 0.25% of GDP to Ukraine

Liberal Alliance proposes EU countries to donate 0.25% of GDP to Ukraine. EU member states should commit to donating 0.25 percent of their gross domestic product (GDP) to Ukraine annually in the form of weapons or financial support. This is proposed by Liberal Alliance, and the party’s chairman, Alex Vanopslagh, along with the lead candidate for the European Parliament elections, Henrik Dahl, present this stance in an interview with Avisen Danmark.

“This is not just about Ukraine. Russia has adjusted its economy so that they can effectively attack an EU country within the next five years. And we must take Putin at his word, as he is clear about what he wants. He wants to overturn the liberal world order,” says Alex Vanopslagh. Liberal Alliance emphasizes the need for a joint European effort to support Ukraine and resist Russian aggression.
