Two witnesses have reported seeing a man push Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (Socialdemokratiet) forcefully on Friday evening. The incident occurred as the Prime Minister was walking from Nørreport towards Strøget in Copenhagen. Marie Adrian (18) and Anna Ravn (17) described how a man walking in the opposite direction gave Mette Frederiksen a hard push on the shoulder, causing her to stumble to the side. The Prime Minister’s office has not confirmed the incident specifically but stated that Mette Frederiksen was hit by a man. The office also mentioned that the Prime Minister is “shocked by the incident” but did not provide further comment on her condition.
According to the witnesses, the push was so forceful that it almost made Mette Frederiksen fall over, but she managed to stay on her feet. Copenhagen Police have confirmed that the case is under investigation, and a man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
