According to the latest polling station measurements, the Danish People’s Party (Dansk Folkeparti) seems to retain its seat in the European Parliament. Both DR and TV 2’s measurements indicate that the party will secure one seat in the recent EU parliamentary elections. The party’s lead candidate is Anders Vistisen, who is 36 years old. The polling station measurements are based on interviews with voters who have reported their votes at the polling stations. However, it should be noted that these measurements are not official results; the official results are expected to be released after 11 p.m.
According to TV 2’s measurement, the Danish People’s Party receives 7.0 percent of the votes, while DR’s measurement shows 6.5 percent. If these measurements prove to be correct, it would mean that the party retains the one seat from the previous EU parliamentary elections in 2019, where they received 10.8 percent of the votes. In the 2019 election, Peter Kofod was elected as the representative for the Danish People’s Party, but he left the European Parliament in November 2022 after being elected to the Danish Parliament. His substitute, Anders Vistisen, then took over the seat. Vistisen has previous experience from the European Parliament, where he served from 2014 to 2019.
