Green Power Denmark building in danger of collapse on Frederiksberg

The Energy House on Frederiksberg is facing a serious situation as the building has been assessed to be at risk of collapsing. Green Power Denmark, which has had their business activities in the building at Vodroffsvej 59 for many years, has put the property up for sale, but on Thursday came the unpleasant discovery. A condition report revealed that the building is unsafe. Therefore, Frederiksberg Municipality has issued an immediate injunction to Green Power Denmark to evacuate the building and cordon off the road in front. Jesper Dahl, Head of Department for City, Construction, and Properties in Frederiksberg Municipality, told TV 2 Cosmopol that they met with the owners and went through the documentation on Thursday afternoon. “We had to conclude that the building is not safe. And we have to take that seriously,” he said. Although the building is not in imminent danger of collapsing, the municipality has instructed the owners to implement temporary stabilization measures within a week. The nearby paint shop has also been ordered to vacate their building for safety reasons.
