Danish People’s Party’s (Dansk Folkeparti) lead candidate, Anders Vistisen, and Enhedslistens’ (The Unity List) Per Clausen have secured seats in the European Parliament. The EU-critical party Danish People’s Party informed Ritzau that Vistisen, who was previously a member of the European Parliament from 2014 to 2019, will once again have the opportunity to represent the party. In the 2019 election, Vistisen did not get re-elected, and the party only retained one seat through Peter Kofod. After Kofod’s election to the Folketinget (Danish Parliament) in November 2022, Vistisen stepped in as his replacement and now embarks on a new term in the parliament. Enhedslistens’ lead candidate, Per Clausen, has also secured a seat, a fact confirmed by the party as well.
