Kristoffer Storm has secured almost 22,000 personal votes in the Northern Jutland constituency, making him the most popular candidate in the area. As the lead candidate for the Danish Democrats (Danmarksdemokraterne), Kristoffer Storm has received the most personal votes in eight out of nine constituencies in the constituency, according to data from KMD, which manages the official counting of the election results. Only in the Aalborg East constituency has he been surpassed, where the lead candidate for the Socialist People’s Party (SF), Kira Marie Peter-Hansen, received nine more votes than Storm.
This election marks the Danish Democrats’ first participation in a European Parliament election, where the party has obtained 7.4 percent of the votes, earning them a seat. North Jutland is also the hometown of party leader Inger Støjberg, who lives in Hadsund in the Mariagerfjord constituency. In this constituency, the Danish Democrats became the largest party with 22 percent of the votes. Kristoffer Storm has received a total of 21,883 personal votes in the Northern Jutland constituency. Nationwide, the Danish Democrats have become the third largest party in the constituency after the Social Democrats and Venstre, according to figures from Statistics Denmark.
