Liberal Alliance politician Carl Andersen is excited about the prospect of entering the Danish Parliament as he is set to take over Henrik Dahl’s seat. Henrik Dahl, the party’s lead candidate, is likely to secure a seat in the EU Parliament. Carl Andersen expressed his joy on Monday evening as the counting of personal votes is nearing completion. Liberal Alliance has gained a single seat in the recent election. According to preliminary results, Henrik Dahl, who is currently a member of the Danish Parliament, has received over 57,000 personal votes. Mads Strange, who is second on the list, has so far received over 11,000 votes. It seems that Henrik Dahl will be heading to Brussels. This scenario opens up a place in Liberal Alliance’s parliamentary group, which Carl Andersen is looking forward to filling.
“I am really looking forward to receiving a letter from the Danish Parliament if everything goes as expected. I have known for a long time that there was a possibility that Henrik would go to Brussels. So it is a relief,” says Carl Andersen.
