Roskilde Festival 2024 Sold Out: International Lineup Announced

Roskilde Festival 2024 is now completely sold out, as both multi-day and single-day tickets have been snapped up. This was confirmed by the festival on Monday on the social media platform X. Already on May 31, Roskilde Festival announced that all multi-day tickets were sold out, and now the remaining single-day tickets are also gone. Although tickets are sold out, interested individuals still have the opportunity to participate as volunteers, the festival wrote in their post.

The festival takes place from June 29 to July 6, and those with multi-day tickets can enjoy a week full of music and festivities. Single-day tickets provide access to one of the days from Wednesday to Saturday. This year’s lineup features major international names such as 21 Savage, Doja Cat, Foo Fighters, and SZA, while Danish artists like Ida Laurberg, Medina, and Gilli will also be performing.

Roskilde Festival recommends using TicketMaster’s resale system if you wish to purchase tickets from other individuals. The festival has sold 80,000 multi-day tickets and 20,000 single-day tickets spread over the four main days, with around 30,000 volunteers helping to keep the festival running.

The first Roskilde Festival was held in 1971, and due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival was canceled in 2020 and 2021. This year’s festival is therefore the 52nd edition. Known as the largest in Northern Europe, the festival typically attracts around 130,000 participants, with the festival area covering approximately 2,500,000 square meters, equivalent to about 350 soccer fields. The actual festival site, where the stages are located, covers about 420,000 square meters.

On Wednesday, the iconic main stage, Orange Stage, will be opened as tradition dictates by a Danish band. This year, rapper Lamin has the honor of opening the stage.
