Venstre becomes largest conservative party in EU elections despite losses

Despite losing seats, Venstre has achieved the status as the largest conservative party in the recent EU election. According to data provided by the IT company KMD, Venstre secured 14.7% of the votes. However, the party will have to give up two of its seats. With all votes now counted, Venstre will have two seats in the EU Parliament, which is a halving compared to the previous election in 2019. Back then, the party obtained 23.5% of the votes. This year’s result marks a significant decrease of 8.8 percentage points.
