Helium balloon accidentally released over Herning, no injuries reported

On Thursday, a large helium balloon accidentally got loose over Herning, as reported by TV MIDTVEST. The balloon, characterized by its white color and orange logo, was quickly noticed, but the police confirm that there were no people on board. The incident took place at a trade fair for contractors and craftsmen, which was held next to the MCH Arena. Torben Kølbæk, communication officer at MCH in Herning, explains that the balloon was taken by the wind: “It’s the wind that has come by and taken the balloon with it. The company then made a report to the local police in Herning,” he told TV MIDTVEST. Midtjyllands Airport in Karup has been informed about the loose balloon to ensure that no dangerous situations arise in the airspace.
