TV 2 removes criticism of security firm from documentary

TV 2 has removed criticism of a security company from a documentary about fraud and crime. TV 2 has edited a documentary series to remove critical information about the security company Guardian. This comes after requests from several parties claiming that the information was incorrect. According to the trade magazine Journalisten, the change was made in the documentary “Den Sorte Svane” (The Black Swan), which uncovers fraud and collaboration between lawyers and criminals. The original program description on TV 2 Play mentioned that the director of the security company had close ties to biker gangs. This passage has now been removed.

In the updated program description for the documentary’s fifth and final episode, it states that “the program has been edited after original publication due to incorrect information about the security company Guardian.” TV 2’s news editor, Jakob Kwon, confirmed to Journalisten that the change was made. “The program was recorded and released on TV 2 Play. Subsequently, we were made aware that there were some inaccuracies in the program,” said Kwon. “We, of course, checked this by reviewing the program again, and we have to admit that it is correct, so we cut it out.”

The change was made to ensure that all information in the documentary is accurate and fact-based. TV 2 has no further comments on the matter.
