Danish PM joins international peace summit in Switzerland on Ukraine

Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen is participating in a peace summit in Switzerland, with the aim of finding a lasting solution to the conflict in Ukraine. Alongside several international leaders, including Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, she will focus on important topics such as food security, nuclear safety, and protection of civilians. Frederiksen emphasizes that food security should never become a weapon in wars, and highlights Zelensky’s peace formula as a suitable starting point for discussions.

The summit, hosted by Swiss President Viola Amherd, will bring together representatives from over 80 countries as well as a number of decision-makers and opinion leaders. In addition to food security, the meeting will address nuclear safety, as well as the protection of detained civilians and deported children. The goal is to promote international law and order, and ensure a sustainable peace solution in Ukraine.
