SF Experiences Rising Support in New Poll – projected to receive 16.9 percent of the votes
In a new survey conducted by Voxmeter for Ritzau, SF is projected to receive 16.9 percent of the votes. This marks the highest level of support for the party since Pia Olsen Dyhr took over as leader in 2014. The last time SF had a similar level of support was in February 2011, under the leadership of Villy Søvndal, when the party achieved 16.1 percent. The statistical uncertainty in the survey is 2.3 percentage points for SF and up to 2.4 percentage points for the other parties. Despite this uncertainty, the survey indicates a significant increase in the party’s popularity. Venstre also shows signs of progress in the latest survey, with the party projected to receive 10.3 percent of the votes. This is an increase from April, when the party hit its lowest Voxmeter survey at just 8.0 percent. The latest poll was conducted from June 10 to June 16 and was based on responses from 1002 randomly selected individuals over 18 years of age. In the latest EU election, SF managed to secure three seats for the first time in the party’s history, with Kira Marie Peter-Hansen being the highest vote-getter. The result of 17.4 percent placed SF on top, while the Social Democrats came in second with 15.6 percent of the votes. Venstre, despite a halving compared to the previous election, became the largest conservative party in the EU election with 14.7 percent of the votes, securing them two seats. The party’s leader, Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, described the result as “an incredibly liberating feeling” on the election night of June 9.
