Danish Minister Hospitalized for Severe Back Pain, Updates on LinkedIn

Denmark’s Minister of Climate, Energy, and Utilities, Lars Aagaard, has been hospitalized due to severe back pain. Aagaard shared the news on his LinkedIn profile, describing how his back is not cooperating, leading to his hospitalization. “My back doesn’t want to work with me, so now I am hospitalized with severe back pain. Luckily, there are good people in the healthcare system to take care of me and figure out what’s wrong,” the minister wrote.

Aagaard compares the pain to a “sledgehammer in the spine” and expresses frustration over the inconvenient timing, as he has a lot of work and ongoing negotiations that require his attention. He emphasizes that there is particular pressure due to the green tripartite agreement (cooperation between government, employers, and unions) and other important green initiatives.

Despite the intense pain, the minister remains optimistic and hopes to be back on his feet quickly.
