Actress Lisbet Dahl has to take a break from this year’s Tivoli Revue due to illness, Tivoli announced in a written statement to Ritzau. The exact reason for her sick leave has not been disclosed, and there is no information on when she is expected to return to the stage. According to cultural director Frederik Wiedemann, the 78-year-old actress is “doing well under the circumstances” and will resume her role when she is healthy again.
Two shows were canceled on Sunday due to illness, but it was not revealed who was affected. It is now clear that Lisbet Dahl is the one who temporarily has to step back. Until she returns, comedian Lone Rødbroe will take her place. Wiedemann also states that a “good temporary replacement” has been found in Rødbroe, who has extensive experience from several of Denmark’s leading revue stages. This is a solution that Dahl herself is also satisfied with.
In addition to Rødbroe, this year’s Tivoli Revue includes actors and artists such as Thomas Eje, Rikke Buch Bendtsen, Rikke Bilde, Mikkel Becker Hilgart, and James Price. The shows will continue as planned from Thursday evening and run until July 14th.
