Travel card users will now receive important messages in their e-Boks (digital mailbox) in the future. This includes reminders about forgetting to check out after a journey. This was announced by Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S in a press release. The change is intended to ensure that customers see and respond to the messages they receive, says Peter Degn, head of customer communication at the company.
According to Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S, over 2.1 million customers use a personal travel card, and preliminary data shows that more customers respond to messages sent via e-Boks compared to email. The company emphasizes the importance of users responding to the messages in order to pay the correct price for their journey, especially if they have forgotten to check out.
A survey conducted by Voxmeter has shown that 33% of Danes have deleted important emails because they thought it was spam or phishing. This supports the need to switch to a more reliable communication channel. Peter Degn explains that e-Boks is a platform that customers trust, with a high level of delivery security.
Morten Pryds, head of business development at e-Boks, adds that the platform has some of the highest open rates in the market. He expects that the collaboration with Rejsekort will lead to fewer blocked travel cards, as more customers will react to the messages in time.
Rejsekort & Rejseplan A/S warns that failure to respond to the messages may result in customers not being able to use their travel card for up to a year. The travel card can be used for travel by bus, train, metro, and light rail.
