Aarhus Hosts Exciting Events for EURO 2024 Football Fans

Summer 2024 is all about sports, and the EURO fever has truly taken hold of Aarhus. The city is filled with exciting events where fans can gather and enjoy the matches on big screens. Here is an overview of where you can experience the unique football atmosphere in Aarhus.

The Market Hall Nicolinehus
The Market Hall on Aarhus Ø (Aarhus East) shows all of Denmark’s matches as well as other selected EURO matches. Here, fans can gather for free big-screen events, where there will also be offers on beer and the opportunity to buy a special EURO menu at Faour.

Herman Sallings Square
DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) has set up a giant screen on the waterfront where all the EURO matches will be shown. The area will be buzzing with concerts, children’s activities, and face painting. Entry is free, and there are plenty of opportunities to buy food and drinks on-site.

Camping Åen
The Mini Golf Bar on Åboulevarden is ready to show all EURO matches. Wearing a national team jersey, you can even play mini golf for free on match days. It is recommended to reserve a spot to ensure you get a good seat.

Tir na nÓg
Frederiksgade’s Irish pub, Tir na nÓg, guarantees a fantastic football party and shows all the matches as tradition dictates. It is an ideal destination for those looking for an authentic pub atmosphere.

In connection with Denmark’s round of 16 match against Germany on Saturday, there will be extensive traffic changes in Aarhus. East Jutland Police inform that the waterfront in Aarhus C (city center) will be closed from 6:00 pm to midnight. This includes Skolebakken and Kystvejen between Skolegyde and Navitas, and the light rail schedules will also be altered. It is recommended to find alternative routes and be aware of the temporary changes that may affect both motorists and residents.
