The Skovridderkroen has been an icon on Strandvejen 235 in Charlottenlund, north of Copenhagen, since 1936. Now the area is preparing to welcome a new gastronomic experience. According to Finans, Copenhagen Concepts, which already operates well-known eateries such as Mash and Bistro Sommelier, is in the process of establishing a French-inspired bistro named La Table.
The new restaurant is scheduled to open after summer and is aimed at Danes who want good food at reasonable prices. Mikkel Glahn, partner at Copenhagen Concepts, states: “We are working intensively to get all the details in place so that we can open our doors in late summer. Our goal is to introduce a new and economically accessible concept. We want to create a space in the area where everyone is welcome, and I look forward to sharing more details after the summer holidays.”
Despite a recently published financial report for 2023 showing a deficit of nearly three million Danish kroner, the company describes the result as ‘unsatisfactory’. Nevertheless, Copenhagen Concepts continues to expand their portfolio with La Table, and the ambitions for the new bistro are high.
