Roskilde Festival has announced a change in the program for Wednesday, where the South African singer Tyla has been replaced by two other artists. The festival has chosen to present the Iranian-Dutch singer Sevdaliza and the concert format Hun Solo as replacements. This was announced in a post on the festival’s Instagram profile.
The musician Icekiid, who was originally scheduled for a different time, will now perform on the Arena stage at 8:30 pm instead of Tyla. Sevdaliza will perform on the Eos stage at 9 pm, and the Hun Solo program will take place on the Apollo stage at 5:30 pm. The Hun Solo format will include performances from singers Karen Mukupa, Iomfru, Stine Bramsen, and Kajsa Vala.
The reason for Tyla’s concert cancellation is “unforeseen circumstances,” as announced by the festival on Tuesday. The 22-year-old Tyla, whose full name is Tyla Laura Seethal, has gained international recognition in recent years with her hit “Water.” Earlier this year, she had to cancel her world tour due to an injury, with doctors advising her to take a break.
Further changes in the festival’s line-up include the cancellation of rapper J Hus’ concert on Saturday. Instead, the festival has added the British rapper Headie One to the program. The cancellation is due to “personal reasons,” according to the festival’s announcement.
With these changes, Roskilde Festival is still looking forward to providing a diverse and exciting music experience for its attendees.
