An Epinion study conducted for the pension company Sampension among 1000 Danes reveals that half of Danes regret not focusing more on salary and pension options when choosing their education. This study was released at the same time as the application deadline for quota 1 applicants to higher education on Friday. The results show that 49 percent of those surveyed wish they had considered the financial aspects more carefully before making their educational choice.
Anne-Louise Lindkvist, customer advisory manager at Sampension, emphasizes the importance of balancing passion and economics when choosing an education. She points out that a realistic understanding of future financial prospects can prevent unpleasant surprises later in life.
The study also shows that 76 percent of participants believe it is crucial to take financial future prospects into account when making educational and career choices. Traditionally, men have been more focused on finances than women, but Lindkvist notes a new trend where more women are starting to show interest in financial aspects and are pursuing fields of study that previously had few female applicants.
