Throughout this week, Denmark’s population can look forward to high temperatures and a taste of summer, but it’s a good idea to keep the rain jacket within reach. According to Klaus Larsen, the duty meteorologist at the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), the weather will bring both warmth and showers.
Monday starts with showers in many places, and in Jutland there may even be thunderstorms. Later in the day, it will clear up with some sun in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures are on the cooler side, ranging from 15-18 degrees in Jutland and 18-20 degrees towards the southeast.
Tuesday begins dry and sunny, before a light rain passes through the country later in the day. Temperatures will rise to 22-23 degrees in southern Denmark, while North Jutland can expect 17-18 degrees.
Wednesday will require the rain jacket, as the day will bring cloudy weather and rain with many showers, especially early in the day. Jutland will later experience clearing skies, while the showers continue over Zealand. Temperatures will rise to around 25 degrees.
Thursday will be the nicest day of the week with temperatures reaching 24-25 degrees, light winds, and minimal risk of showers, although there won’t be much sun.
On Friday, the showers return, possibly heavier and with thunder, but there will also be periods of sunshine. Temperatures will remain mild, ranging from 20-25 degrees.
