The upcoming week will offer varying weather conditions with both rain and sunshine, and temperatures could reach up to 25 degrees. According to the Danish Meteorological Institute, DMI, the week will start with unsettled weather characterized by rain and possibly thunderstorms.
Monday will be predominantly cloudy with showers, especially hitting the central part of the country. Throughout the day, the weather will clear up from the west and south, providing some sunshine and fewer showers, says duty meteorologist Anesten Devasakayam.
On Tuesday, clouds will move back over Denmark, and rain showers will move up from the south. The day will start with some sunshine, but otherwise, it will be mostly cloudy with a risk of heavy showers and thunderstorms, especially in Jutland.
Wednesday is expected to see a repeat of the weather pattern from the preceding days with showers and periods of sunshine. However, midweek will bring a brief improvement in the weather.
Thursday and Friday will see a high-pressure system move over Denmark, bringing dry and warm weather. Temperatures could rise to around 22 degrees on Thursday and up to 25 degrees on Friday, especially in areas like Zealand and Bornholm. It will be possible to enjoy the sun without worrying about showers on these days.
Unfortunately, it appears that the stable high-pressure system will move away over the weekend, bringing more unsettled weather again, reports Anesten Devasakayam.
So even though there are a few good days ahead with sun and warmth, it’s a good idea to keep rain gear within reach for the rest of the week.
