Even though the week will generally be marked by showers, we can also look forward to periods of sun. Monday morning and forenoon will be wet with scattered showers across most of the country. However, there is a clearing on the way from the west, and within a few hours, the sun will shine in Western Jutland. In the afternoon, the sun will reach Zealand, and in the evening, even Bornholm can enjoy sunny weather. This information is provided by Bolette Brødsgaard, meteorologist at the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI).
“A cold front with rain and thunderstorms is moving from west to east across the country and will reach Bornholm in the afternoon, although the intensity will decrease along the way,” she explains. Monday’s showers can be heavy and locally result in cloudbursts, where the criterion is more than 15 millimeters of precipitation in 30 minutes. Temperatures will be on the cool side, between 17 and 20 degrees. But during the week, temperatures will gradually rise. On Tuesday, temperatures between 17 and 21 degrees are expected, and even though the showery weather continues, it will be more summery with more sunny spells. There are no thunderstorms expected on Tuesday.
Wednesday and Thursday will also not be completely dry, but there will be fewer showers and more room for the sun. Especially Thursday looks sunny with only a few showers in the morning, while the rest of the day offers dry weather and plenty of sun. Temperatures will range between 17 and 22 degrees both on Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday starts with some or some sun, but later in the day it becomes more cloudy with rain at times. Temperatures will reach between 17 and 23 degrees.”
