Danish Men Arrested for Innovative Hash Selling Method

Two men in Næstved, Denmark, utilized an innovative yet illegal method to sell cannabis from their apartment. The technique involved a fishing rod and a cup, but police intervened on Thursday.

The information comes from the daily report of the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police (Sydsjællands og Lolland-Falsters Politi). Authorities were alerted by a witness who noticed the unusual activity. The witness observed a line cast out of a window on the top floor of an apartment, with a cup attached to the end. Potential buyers could retrieve the product from the cup and leave payment in the same place, after which the cup was reeled back into the apartment using the fishing rod.

Police arrived on the scene and found the apartment’s occupants, along with a fishing rod, 23.3 grams of cannabis divided into small bags, a sum of cash, and several mobile phones. All items were confiscated, and the two men, aged 25 and 28, were charged with the sale of illegal drugs.

This incident illustrates how creativity can take strange forms in attempts to circumvent the law.
