In the early hours of Saturday, a severe fire broke out in a villa located on Dalvej in Gentofte, a suburb of Copenhagen, Denmark. “We received the report via emergency number 112,” stated Henrik Thelin, the duty officer at North Zealand Police (Nordsjællands Politi). “There was heavy smoke, and flames were visible when we and the fire department arrived,” he continued. The fire has since been extinguished.
“We have sealed the origin of the fire because the cause is still unknown,” Thelin added. The duty officer confirmed that the villa was occupied at the time of the incident, but fortunately, no one was injured in the fire. He did not provide information about the extent of the damage.
