**Two Men Arrested for Rape of Three Girls in Aalborg**
The North Jutland Police (Nordjyllands Politi) have charged two men in connection with the rape of three underage girls. On Sunday, the two suspects, aged in their twenties and thirties, will appear before a judge at the Hjørring Court, facing serious charges in a case from Aalborg.
The two men were arrested for the rape of three girls—two aged 14 and one aged 15—according to a press release from the North Jutland Police. The police received a report regarding the alleged rape of the minors on Saturday afternoon at 12:52 PM. According to police information, the crime occurred early Saturday morning at a location within Aalborg municipality, prompting an extensive investigation.
Police Commissioner Kenneth Rodam, who leads the ongoing investigation, described how interviews and surveillance footage led to the arrest of the two suspects. “Therefore, we acted on Saturday evening against two addresses. Both suspects have been arrested,” stated police commissioner Kenneth Rodam.
On Saturday evening and night, the two men were interrogated and charged with rape. They are scheduled to appear before a judge at Hjørring Court on Sunday at 1 PM, where it will be determined whether they will be held in custody.
The case is considered particularly serious, as the charges involve multiple provisions of section 216 of the Danish Penal Code, including having sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 15 when the perpetrator is over 22 years old, which is always classified as rape in Denmark.
Social authorities and the immediate family members of the victims have been involved in the case, and the police have chosen not to provide further details at this time. “We ask for the public’s understanding that we—both in consideration of the girls and their relatives, as well as for the sake of our ongoing investigation—cannot disclose further details about the circumstances of the case,” added Kenneth Rodam.
The North Jutland Police continue their investigation into this serious matter.
